13 Cairns to Cooktown and the Bloomfield Track

Cape York Peninsula and the Torres Strait Islands are sparsely populated wilderness regions visited by many adventure travellers and particularly 4WD enthusiasts wanting to test their cars and their skill or daring. In many places there is the "adventure road" and the "chicken route". Our pictures are from the latter. This first part of the Cape York trip shows the section from Cairns to Cooktown along the "Bloomfield Track".
