| Walpole, Western Australia. This tree beside the Giant Tingle tree has many "Burls"including one that we called a turtle face. It is thought that burls are formed when a dormant bud on the tree is stimulated into rapid but unstructured growth. It is similar to the development of some forms of cancer in humans and animals. |  |
