| Pyengana's 'Pub in the Paddock', then Derby, situated about 94km northeast of Launceston. Derby is a modest but formerly very prosperous town. It experienced a destructive and fatal disaster with the collapse of the Briseis Dam, and timed right on the eve of the Great Depression to worsen the after-effects. After Derby we spent a couple of nights at the lovely resort town of Bridport, then on to Georgetown and Low Head on Tasmania's north coast |
