| Germany, Cologne is located on both sides of the Rhine River. The city's famous Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) is the seat of the Catholic Archbishop of Cologne. In 1792, Cologne was the origin of the fragrance "Eau de Cologne" (water from Cologne). While we were here, we didn't use any public transport preferring instead to use the excellent riverside bike and walkway that took us all the way into the city. |
